The future of meat: technology and consumers at the center of this change
Meat production and consumption are two of the main causes of climate change. Between 75-80% of the agricultural land area is used for animal feed production and livestock alone is responsible for 14.5% of greenhouse gas emissions. There is a growing demand for attractive and tasty 100% vegetable alternatives. Technology and the power of consumers both play a very important role in the shift towards a food system where animals are no longer used as intermediaries to get protein.
